People in and around Harper were shocked Tuesday morning when they learned that Joe Sieren had commited suicide by hanging himself with a clothesline. Mr. Sieren was seventy years old and had been living with his son-in-law, Mike Greiner. For the past few months he had been taking treatments and had complained of a buzzing in his head. The Greiner family missed the old gentleman about nine o'clock and upon searching about the premises found him handing by a clothesline in the woodshed. It was thought that he had been dead for a least an hour. His wife preceded him in death about a years ago. Funeral services were held at Harper Wednesday morning.
