- Elizabeth Vogel
NOTE
After the marriage of Peter and Elizabeth, they made their home on a farm in Lancaster Township, Keokuk County, Iowa, described as the W 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Section 26 and the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 27, Township 75 N., Range 11 W consisting of 120 acres, which J. P. Dumont purchased from his father on March 20, 1909. They built the house that is now on the farm. In the 1940's they moved into Sigourney, Iowa and lived at 815 South Main Street. After Peter's death, the farm was sold to their son, Elmer, whose family presently owns it.

- PETE DUMONTS SURPRISED ON WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dumont of Sigourney were happily surprised Sunday afternoon when their children and their families came to their home and reminded them they would have a wedding anniversary soon. Mr. and Mrs. Dumont were married 45 years Tuesday, but it was more convenient for their children to have a get-together on Sunday.
All their children and grandchildren were present. The group presented their parents with a beautiful platform rocker.
Refreshments were served. Mrs. Damian Gent of South English baked a lovely angel food cake, which was decoraed for the occasion.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Young and family of Oskaloosa; Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Korf and family of Marion; Mr. and Mrs. Damian Gent and family of South English; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dumont and family and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dumont and family of Ollie; Mrs. and Mrs. Wilferd Dumont and family and Mr. and Mrs. Josph Wehr and family of Sigourney. Mr. and Mrs. Dumont have 23 grandchildren.
