Francis and Marcella Schneider of rural Oxford will celebrate in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary, with an open house on Sun., Aug. 28 from 2:30 to 5:30 at the Days Inn Ironmen, Coralville. Francis Schneider and Marcella Hammes were married Oct. 4, 1938 in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Clear Creek. Hosting the event are their children, Marilyn and Harry Marble, Malibu, Calif., Dorothy and James Goody, rural Iowa City, Robert Schneider, rural Oxford, Dennis Schneider, Merced, Calif., Francis and Nancy Schneider, San Carlos, Calif., John Schneider, rural Oxford, Anne Schneider, San Pedro, Calif. They have nine
grandchildren. All friends and family are invited toattend. The couple requests no gifts.
