Notes - OBITUARY
Gordon Greiner
GREINER-Gordon "Gord " passed away peacefully in Regina, with his family at his side on February 8, 2005 at the age of 73 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Agnes Greiner. Gord will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Eleanor; son, Terry (Joanne) and grandchildren Richelle and Scott; daughter, Debbie (Brad) Heck and grandchildren Chris and Brenden; son, Scott (Linda) and grandchildren Charlie, Taylor, and Ashley; brother, Bill (Jean) of Brandon, MB; sister, Barb (Hal) Roulston of Edmonton, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. After graduating from high school,
he attended the Agriculture Program in Vermillion, AB, and then Calgary Tech. to achieve his Journeyman Electrician Certificate. He met and married his loving wife Eleanor in 1953. Gord and Eleanor began a family in Alberta, and then moved to Brandon, MB in 1956. In Brandon, he worked in the family business, "Jacobson and Greiner", as an electrician. In 1962, Gord and the family moved to Regina to pursue his lifetime career in the Livestock Industry. Gord enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially to their winter home in Palm Desert, CA, where they had many friends. He was a member of the Wascana Country Club, where he was the past president of 1986, as well; he served on the board for many years. The family would like to send a most heartfelt 'Thank you' to the staff of the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Unit 3-5 and a special 'Thank you' to Oscar and Kim. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gord's memory
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 2nd Avenue, Regina, SK S4R 1A6. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to sign a book of condolences at www.obituariestoday.com.
