Notes - OBITUARY
William D. “Billy Dean” Heisdorffer, age 66, of Keota, died Saturday, December 15, 2001, at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born January 5, 1935, in Keokuk County, to William J. and Marie C. (Hammes) Heisdorffer. He grew up in the Harper/Talleyrand area and attended St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. He married Marguerite Lorene Post on January 7, 1961 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. Following marriage, the couple lived and farmed in rural Keota. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish - Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his father, William and Viola of Harper; two sons, Nicholas of Keota and Bernard of Iowa City; a brother, Michael of Harper; and two sisters, Barbara Knowles of Lisbon and Susan Feuss of Cedar Rapids and a granddaughter.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 19 (today) at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish - Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek with Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Clear Creek.
Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.
Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is in charge of arrangements.
