Notes - OBITUARY
 Donald Omer Willis, 61, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, following an truck accident near Spencer, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, Iowa. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the church. A rosary service will take place at 3 p.m., with a Scriptural prayer service scheduled for 7 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Monday. Arrangements are with Ernest-Rohde Funeral Home in Marcus.
Donald Omer Willis was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Harper, Iowa, the son of Joseph Clark and Irene (Hammes) Willis. On Sept. 26, 1970, Don and Suzanne Delperdang were united in marriage at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus, Iowa. Don farmed in rural Marcus for 21 years and worked in the construction business for more than 40 years. Don and Suzanne most recently made their home in Spirit Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, Spirit Lake, Iowa; a daughter, Cassie Willis, and her husband, Jeff Fulmer, Marion, Iowa; two sons, Ted Willis, and his wife, Julie, Fort Collins, Colo., and Joe Willis, Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, Brennan and Willis Fulmer, Marion, Iowa and Ben and Grace Willis, Fort Collins, Colo.; and four brothers, Kenny (Jan) Willis, Eldridge, Iowa; Denny (Barb) Willis, South Sioux City, Neb., Bob (Joy) Willis, Bettendorf, Iowa; and Tom (Barb) Willis, Davenport, Iowa; and a sister, Lorene (Donnie) Altenhofen, Eldridge, Iowa.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
