- VOGEL FAMILY REUNION HELD
The descendants of Frank B. and Catherine Lutz Vogel met for a family reunion on Sunday, Sept. 6 at St. Elizabeth Church Hall in Harper with a catered dinner for 65 family members. The Elizabeth Vogel Dumont family hosted the reunion.
Since the last reunion two years ago, five family members have died. Frank B. and Catherine Lutz Vogel were the parents of 16 children. The only surviving member is Mary Vogel Dehner of Wenatchee, Wash., who was present. Two current birthdays were celebrated, that of Mary Dehner, who will be 90 years old and Bernice Vogel, who will be 91.

OBITUARY
Lawrence Vogel, age 69, of Kansas City, Missouri, died May 30 at the K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born July 26, 1897 in Keokuk county, the son of Frank B. and Katherine Lutz Vogel. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul cemetery at Clear Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Belva; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Barnhart of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Mrs. Marilyn Potter of Ottumwa; six sisters, Mrs. C. P. Hammes, Mrs. Elizabeth Dumont and Mrs. William Allar of Sigourney, Katherine Vogel of Iowa City, Mrs. Hugh Dehner of Clinton and Mrs. Henry Hammen of Manson; three brothers, Carl and Frank of Keota and Joseph of Sigourney; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, A. J., Jake, Michael and Leo, and one sister, Regina Vogel, who lost her life in a airplane crash in 1961 in Denver, Colorado. Reynolds Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements here.
