      OBITUARY
      Henry HAMMEN
      Birth: 13 June 1890 in Keokuk County, Iowa
      Death: 19 December 1972 in Manson, Iowa
      Henry Hammen, age 82, died Tuesday afternoon, December 10, at his home in Manson. He was born June 13, 1900 near Harper, to Nicholas and Anna Stein Hammen. He married Margaret Vogel at Clear Creek February 17, 1914 and lived on a farm in the Harper community from 1914 to 1942 when they moved to a farm northeast of Manson. In 1951 they retired to Manson. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two children, Donald of Waterloo, and Mrs. Harry Hill of Tomah, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Fred Herman, Washington. Preceeding him in death were three brothers, John and Charles of Harper, and Peter of Keota, and one son James in 1968.
      Funeral services were held Friday, December 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic church, Manson, with the Rev. John Turza officiating. Interment was in St. Thomas cemetery. [clipping from
