  OBITUARY - Jacques Frank Sondag The very sudden death of Mr. Jacob Sondag occurred last Thursday afternon at about 3 o'clock. He with two of his sons were in the yard at his home south of Harper, breaking colts. He was just in the act of leading one when he fell over and before the boys reached him he was dead. Heart Disease Mr. Sondag was born in Kerling, Germany, in 1843, hence was 54 years old. Came to America in '68, married Miss Barbara Berg one year later, and to them 14 children were born, 12 now living. The funeral was held at the Harper, Catholic church Saturday. from: Keota Eagle, 26 March 1897
