1 killed in rollover car crash
      TheOmahaChannel.com updated 9/9/2012 10:15:50 PM ET
One person died in a rollover car crash in Sarpy County early sunday, police said. Investigators said the driver, who was identified as Charles Langer, 19, was partially ejected from the vehicle on Highway 31 south of Interstate 80 just before 5 a.m. Sunday. Langer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sarpy County Sheriff's Office Lt. Dan Shukis said a woman inside the vehicle, Regina Bennett, 24, was able to get out and went to a nearby house to ask for help. Sherry Simmons answered the door, and saw Bennett covered in blood, shivering. Simmons gave Bennett her robe.
Medics took Bennett, Langer’s girlfriend, to Creighton University Medical Center as a precaution, however she was not injured during the crash.
Sarpy County Sheriff Deputies tried to retrace what happened to Langer. Shukis said he lost control. “Flipped on its side, skidded across the cement, partially ejected the driver,” Shukis said.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
