  OBITUARY William Cletus Hammes, 43, died October 17, 2008, at the Sigourney Care Center in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born February 19, 1965 in Sigourney, Iowa the son of Cletus Michael and Beverly Rae Glandon Hammes. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1984. He was employed by Iowa Culvert Builders of Sigourney, Iowa, Bridge and Culvert of Washington, Iowa and McCulley Culverts of Barnes City, Iowa. He loved his children, spending time with family and friends and enjoyed working on cars and bowling. He is survived by his two daughters, Shellby Hammes and McKenzie Hammes of Keswick, Iowa; four step-children, Echo Bailey, Teresa Moore, Courtney Moore and Jake Moore; his parents, Cletus and Beverly Hammes of Sigourney, Iowa; a sister Christine (Keith) Garling of Iowa City, Iowa; a brother, Jeff (Valerie) Hammes of Sigourney, Iowa and their children Kristopher, Erin and Madeline Schmidt, Austin Hammes; many uncles, aunts and cousins, friends and his Godfather, Edwin Hammes of Fairfield, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, October 20, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Holme Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
