Beatrice Clubb
Beatrice Clubb, 88, died November 20, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born March 19, 1925 near Clear Creek to Michael and Cecilia Striegel Hammes. She attended school at Ss Peter and Paul School in Clear Creek. On February 23, 1949 she married George Paul Clubb at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. They lived and farmed around Sigourney. Bea was employed at McNurlen Produce and Woltering Produce in Keota for over 20 years. They moved to Sigourney in 1981. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney and Altar and Rosary Society. Bea enjoyed spendingtime with her family, gardening, quilting and a good card game.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George on September 3, 2003, two infant children Clarence and Carolyn Clubb, two grandchildren Joshua Clubb and Ashley Siegle, one son-in-law George Siegle, four sisters Leola Heisdorffer, Agatha Conrad, Dolores Baker, Eveleen Ulin, three brothers Lawrence “Bud” Hammes, Edwin Hammes, and Marvin Hammes.
She is survived by her children Kathleen (Keith) Bruns of Harper, Herbert (Deb) Clubb of Sigourney, Bernice Siegle of Gahanna, Ohio, Calvin (Donna) Clubb of Harper, Joseph (Julie) Clubb of Hayesville, Roselyn (Scott) Beuhneman of Sigourney, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great - great grandchild, two sisters Elizabeth Conrad, Donna Paarman, of Sigourney two brothers Kenneth Hammes of Solon, Cletus Hammes of Sigourney.
Funeral Service: Saturday 10:00 A.M. November 23, 2013 St. Mary Catholic Church
Visitation:Friday 4:00 P.M. with a Prayers Service at 7:30 P.M. Holm Funeral Home
Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Clear Creek
