      OBITUARY
      Funeral service for Peter SIEREN, age 56, was held last Friday morning at Saints Peter and Paul's Catholic church under the direction of the Rev. Paul KLEINFELDER, pastor of the church. Interment was made in the cemetery adjacent to the church. Mr. SIEREN died at his home on October 20. Mr. SIEREN, well known farmer of Clear Creek township, was the father of nine children. He was born in East Lancaster township in 1879, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph SIEREN, who preceded him in death. In 1902 he was married to Anna R. HAMMES, a Keokuk county girl, and the couple began housekeeping on a farm east of Kinross.
      After living here for two years, Mr. and Mrs. SIEREN returned to Clear Creek township, where they lived until Mrs. SIEREN's death in 1934.
      Children surviving are: Albert SIEREN, Mrs. Mike L. GREINER and Walter of Keota, Mrs. Ed A. PEIFFER of Richland, Mrs. Walter HORRAS of Sigourney and Bernard, John, Alma and Marjorie, all at home. Amoung the brothers and sisters there are: Mike SIEREN and Mrs. John MERZ of Harper, Mrs. Frank CONRAD of Hillsboro, Nick SIEREN of Sigourney and Mrs. W. P. GREINER of Keota.
      Preceding him in death were a brother, Joseph and a sister, Mrs. M. O. PALMER.
