- OBITUARY
DAVENPORT — Hubert “Hugh” Reed, 79, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, =2009, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4900 Kennedy Drive, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
He was born January 21, 1930, in Keota, Iowa, the son of Walter and Margaret (Hammes) Reed.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife Christina, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
