      Robert Ellis Pekkola
      Pekkola, Robert Ellis 73 Dec. 29, 1937 Oct. 18, 2011 Bob was born in Pendleton to Eino and Mildred (Dunlap) Pekkola. He grew up in Clackamas and graduated from Milwaukie High School. He married Arlene Heuberger in 1964. They had a son, Joe; daughters, Margaret Tamblyn and Laura Tompkins; and grandchildren, Megan and Mitch Tamblyn and Lehman and Reilly Pekkola. Bob retired from United Grocers after 38 years and had a part-time cabinet business for 15 years. He liked to garden, walk, travel and snow ski. He was a member of the Rose City Model-T Club and Teamster Local #162.
      He is survived by his wife; children; grandchildren; siblings, Con and Norman Pekkola and Carol Peltz; and uncle, Eli Pekkola.
      A Mass Of Christian burial will be at noon Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church, Milwaukie, followed by a luncheon reception. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Church or a charity of your choice
